The Vector 3015FP is a specialized CNC router for precision machining of long aluminum profiles. It is engineered for manufacturers of premium furniture, window, and façade systems who need consistent quality, minimal scrap, and fast changeover between production batches.

Design and Technical Features:

  • The workpiece is clamped into a custom caprolon jig, machined precisely to the customer’s profile geometry. Rigid pneumatic clamps secure the workpiece along its full length, eliminate vibration of thin metal walls, minimize setup time, and allow the operator to swap parts instantly.
  • The X and Y axes run on precision helical rack-and-pinion drives paired with 1 kW industrial servo motors, delivering rapid traverse speeds up to 15 m/min. This is critical for high productivity when machining long workpieces: the tool positions quickly between machining zones, reducing non-productive time.
  • The Z axis is driven by a ballscrew with 20 mm linear guides — ensuring precise vertical spindle positioning when milling slots and holes, where every hundredth of a millimeter affects hardware fit.
  • The foundation for stable gantry operation is a fully welded steel frame machined in a single setup. This delivers repeat positioning accuracy up to 0.05 mm and consistent geometry across the full 3000 mm working length. The X axis is protected from chips by bellow covers, and the mechanical service life is maintained by a semi-automatic lubrication system.
  • The 4 kW water-cooled spindle operates at speeds up to 12,000 rpm. Control through a 5.5 kW inverter ensures high cutting torque. The ER25 collet accepts tools up to 16 mm in diameter, enabling both high-speed milling of thin slots and deep roughing cuts. A built-in temperature sensor monitors the spindle.
  • The coolant system delivers fluid directly to the contact point between the tool and the metal, removing heat and swarf.
  • The VECTOR Drive control system is an engineering platform that provides hardware integration, safety, and protection for the machine’s working components. Direct equipment control is handled by licensed industrial CNC controllers from leading global manufacturers. Engineers select control electronics individually to match the customer’s tasks and the dynamic characteristics of the machine, simplifying integration into production and making operator work easier.
