The Vector 3217FK.HARD is an industrial CNC machining complex from the heavy-duty series, built for continuous processing of large-format stone slabs. The expanded 3200×1700 mm work area accepts full slabs of granite, marble, quartzite, and engineered agglomerate in the most popular global standards — without pre-cutting, technological joints, or part bonding.

Key Engineering Advantages of the HARD Configuration:

  • To eliminate resonance effects over long distances, a high-precision helical rack is installed on the Y-axis. It delivers high tractive force and rapid traverse speeds up to 20 m/min. Meanwhile, precision ballscrews are retained on the X and Z axes to achieve flawless surface quality during 3D routing.
  • The machine has been fully converted from stepper motors to high-speed servo motors. This guarantees stable torque at any speed, rapid acceleration, and repeat positioning accuracy of ±0.02 mm — high for heavy stone-processing equipment. Closed-loop feedback in the servo systems eliminates the risk of missed steps and damage to expensive raw material.
  • The frame is welded from industrial-grade thick-walled steel, undergoes a mandatory stress-relieving cycle (technological aging), and full machining of guide rail mounting surfaces in a single setup. The near-2-ton mass fully absorbs gantry inertia during rapid changes in cutting direction.
  • The specialized sealed water-cooled motor is completely isolated from water and abrasive dust. Thanks to an autonomous cooling circuit (via pump or chiller), the spindle maintains maximum efficiency at low speeds during prolonged heavy slot cutting, sink niche milling in countertops, or profiled chamfering.
  • Tight bellow covers on the X and Y axes reliably protect the linear guides from aggressive liquid slurry. The semi-automatic lubrication system simplifies routine maintenance.
  • VECTOR Drive control platform — a hardware and software platform for VECTOR machines, built on an industrial CNC controller. Depending on the equipment model and configuration, controllers from various manufacturers may be used, integrated, localized, and optimized by VECTOR engineers. The platform ensures hardware integration, safety, and protection of the machine’s working components in the demanding environment of a stone workshop.
