UAH 6 Million for the Future: How Modernizing Vocational Education Strengthens Mechanical Engineering in Zakarpattia

The machine-building sector is currently one of the key drivers of Zakarpattia’s economy. At the same time, the shortage of qualified turners, millers, and CNC machine operators who are ready from day one to work on modern industrial equipment remains a serious challenge for both the region and the country as a whole.

That is why we are proud to be part of an important state initiative to modernize vocational and technical education.

At the end of March 2026, Mukachevo Professional Polytechnic College received a major upgrade to its Engineering Center training and practical facility through a state subvention totaling UAH 6 million.

We designed the equipment in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for educational institutions, manufactured it, delivered it, and commissioned a turning machining center and a vertical milling center.

During a visit to the college, the Head of Zakarpattia Regional State Administration Myroslav Biletskyi personally inspected the new training center:

“Now students will learn not on outdated models, but on equipment that is already used by market leaders today,”
he noted.

This is especially important for the development of metalworking and mechanical engineering in Zakarpattia. Vector turning and vertical milling centers allow students to master precision metal machining: production of shafts, bushings, housing parts, tooling elements, and precision components. This equipment is widely used in automotive engineering, industrial equipment manufacturing, instrument engineering, and machinery repair.

Students now gain practical skills that match real conditions of modern production. Companies, in turn, will receive specialists with a significantly shorter adaptation period who can confidently work on industrial CNC machines. This directly affects productivity, product quality, and the competitiveness of mechanical engineering companies in the region.

For us, as a Ukrainian manufacturer, this is a concrete contribution to the development of Ukrainian industry and to the training of a new generation of qualified engineers and technicians.

Another strong argument in favor of the strategy of staying and working at home.
