The Vector 3DPRINT-256 is an FDM 3D printer designed for manufacturing functional prototypes, end-use parts, enclosures, tooling, and low-volume production runs using thermoplastics and composite materials.
A 3D model is created in CAD software and then processed by the slicing software to generate the print head trajectory. The printer builds the part layer by layer, precisely replicating the specified geometry. This enables the production of ready-to-use physical parts without the need for molds, specialized tooling, or complex production line setup.
Design Features and Technological Capabilities:
- The design can be physically validated before full-scale production: evaluate dimensions, tolerances, ergonomics, and part fit, and quickly iterate by printing a revised version.
- The printer is suitable not only for visual prototypes. Parts printed with engineering plastics and reinforced composites can serve as functional components, including enclosures, brackets, covers, grippers, and other manufacturing aids.
- The digital model is stored as a file, making repeat production straightforward without reconfiguring the geometry. This is ideal for small batch runs, spare parts, and products where demand does not yet justify mold manufacturing.
- The extruder design and high-temperature capabilities allow the use of advanced engineering materials, including carbon-fiber and glass-fiber reinforced composites.
- Once the print program is prepared, the printer runs the cycle autonomously, monitoring key process parameters. An integrated monitoring system helps detect filament feed issues and print quality anomalies during operation.
- The built-in camera enables remote monitoring of the print process, which is particularly useful during long print cycles.
Applications:
- Functional prototypes and mechanical assemblies;
- Electronic enclosures and device housings;
- Brackets, covers, plugs, and other structural components;
- Templates, jigs, and production tooling;
- Components for robotics and automation;
- Concept models and design verification mockups;
- Low-volume production parts;
- Composite parts with carbon-fiber and glass-fiber reinforcement.
