The Vector 6020P covers a format that standard 1500 mm models cannot handle. The 6000×2000 mm working area processes wide sheet stock, large-format blanks, and parts that exceed a narrower working envelope — without splitting the material, without repositioning, in a single cycle.
This machine is for operations where a 1500 mm working width has become a production bottleneck, not an option.
Key Advantages of the Vector 6020P:
- 2000 mm working width — access to a different class of workpiece. Wide sheet stock, large weldments, and housing components for industrial equipment either don’t fit within 1500 mm or require preliminary cutting that adds an operation and introduces error. The 6020P processes such blanks in full.
- ~3,000 kg machine weight — rigidity matched to a wide portal. A wider gantry creates higher bending loads on the structure. The welded bed, milled in a single setup, maintains geometric stability across the full working area, including the outermost Y-axis positions.
- ±0.05 mm positioning accuracy across the full 6×2 m area. Rack-and-pinion drives on X and Y with planetary gearboxes and Nema 34 stepper motors deliver consistent repeat positioning regardless of where on the sheet the cut is made. Parts cut at opposite ends of a wide blank come out geometrically identical.
- THC on a wide-format machine — compensation across area, not just length. Large sheets show flatness deviation both along their length and across their width. The torch height control system tracks and compensates at any point within the 6×2 m field, maintaining a constant standoff and edge quality across the entire sheet surface.
- Plasma source matched to material and thickness. From 100A for structural steel cutting runs to 200A for heavy-gauge plate. The configuration is defined by the actual materials and thicknesses in production.
