The Vector 2515F 4-axis is a four-axis CNC router that operates in two modes: as a conventional 3-axis router for sheet materials and as a 4-axis machine when the workpiece is mounted on the removable rotary axis.
The main 2500×1500 mm work area is designed for cutting and routing of sheet materials: plywood, MDF, plastics, and composites. The work surface is made of moisture-resistant plywood with a PVC coating. Workpieces are secured on the table using an aluminum T-slot profile.
A removable rotary A-axis with a chuck is mounted to the side of the main work area. When a cylindrical or long workpiece — a baluster, column, table leg, or shaft — needs machining, the operator clamps it in the chuck and the machine switches to 4-axis mode. The rotary axis rotates the workpiece synchronously with the X, Y, and Z axes, giving the tool access to all sides of the part. The gantry extends beyond the table edge precisely on the side where the rotary axis is located, allowing cylindrical parts to be machined from end to end without limitation.
Key Advantages of the Vector 2515F 4-axis:
- No need to purchase a separate lathe for cylindrical parts. The Vector 2515F 4-axis performs both 3-axis sheet routing and 4-axis machining of turned parts. The operator creates a single control program that works in both modes.
- The rotary A-axis with chuck is positioned to the side of the main table and does not interfere with sheet material work. The chuck accepts workpieces up to 200 mm in diameter. Machining is performed along the full length of the workpiece.
- Minimal backlash on reversal and consistent repeat positioning accuracy of ±0.05 mm — thanks to ballscrews and linear guideways — guarantee the same result on the first and the hundredth part. The semi-automatic lubrication system distributes oil evenly to the guides and ballscrews without daily operator attention — just periodic oil level checks.
- Water cooling of the spindle ensures a uniform thermal regime regardless of the machining type. When the tool works in one spot for a long time — for example, cutting a deep pocket or machining a turned part — the temperature does not rise progressively but stabilizes at a working level. This is critical for precision parts where thermal expansion of the spindle can affect geometry.
- The VECTOR Drive control system is a hardware and software platform for VECTOR machines, built on an industrial CNC controller. Depending on the equipment model and configuration, controllers from various manufacturers may be used, integrated, localized, and optimized by VECTOR engineers.
Applications:
- Balusters, columns, table and chair legs
- Decorative cylindrical elements
- Precision shafts and bushings
- Furniture manufacturing and architectural décor
