The Vector 4527FVN is a multi-functional CNC machine for cutting and routing sheet and roll materials. It combines three distinct technologies on a single work area: routing, oscillating knife cutting, and perforation. The tools operate sequentially, depending on the operation and the loaded program. One machine performs different technological operations without moving the material to other equipment.
Key Advantages of the Vector 4527FVN
- Oscillating knife — for materials that cannot be subjected to thermal influence during the production process. The oscillating knife performs up to 25,000 strokes per minute. The amplitude depends on the installed knife type and can reach up to 6 mm, allowing the tool to be matched to the specific material and thickness. Unlike laser cutting, the mechanical knife does not subject the material to thermal influence: there is no melting, charring, or thermal edge deformation. This is critical for rubber, polyurethane, PVC, technical textiles, leather, felt, foam materials, cardboard, and other materials where heat can unacceptably alter the properties or appearance of the product. The knife can execute complex contours, and its 360° rotation ensures correct blade orientation along the toolpath. For production, this means the ability to automate the cutting of materials that are inconvenient or technologically incorrect to cut with a router or laser.
- Perforation unit — for serial perforation. This unit is used for making holes and perforations in the material. This type of operation is required, for example, in the production of conveyor belts and drive belts, where holes may be used for manufacturing processes, drainage, or other specialized tasks. With the appropriate punching die installed, the machine produces holes of a specified shape and size.
- 3.2 kW router spindle. When rigid materials need processing, the 3.2 kW water-cooled spindle comes into play. The 6,000–24,000 rpm range allows working with both tools for aggressive material removal and tools for fine finishing and engraving. The spindle is equipped with an ER20 collet and accepts tools with a shank diameter up to 13 mm. Routing is used for plywood, MDF, plastic, acrylic, composites, and other sheet materials where slots, holes, pockets, contour cutting, or engraving are required.
- One work table — three technologies. The Vector 4527FVN has a working area of 4,500 × 2,700 × 250 mm. The workpiece is held on a “Nesting” type vacuum table divided into 16 zones. Two 7.5 kW vacuum pumps secure the material across the large format. The zoning allows the vacuum to be organized according to the placement of workpieces and the cutting layout. This is particularly relevant for large-format cutting where dozens of different parts must be nested on a single sheet.
Applications:
- Production of conveyor belts and transport systems;
- Manufacturing of industrial gaskets, seals, technical fabrics;
- Light industry (cutting of leather, fabric, textiles);
- Furniture production (fronts, decorative elements);
- Signage (large-format signs, acrylic structures).
