The Vector 2005F.DOOR is a specialized CNC router for cutting locks, hinges, and other door hardware into the edge of a door leaf. The equipment is designed for series production of interior doors and performs all required recesses without repositioning the workpiece.
The door leaf is clamped on the work table with pneumatic clamps, after which the moving gantry with the spindle travels along the edge of the workpiece. The 2000 mm X-axis travel allows the door to be machined across its full height in a single cycle — the operator does not need to change the position of the leaf to rout different hardware elements.
This solution reduces operation time and minimizes human error in the production process.
Technical Features and Advantages:
- The 2000×500×250 mm work area is designed for standard interior door leaves. The X-axis travel matches the door height, while the extended Z-axis range allows working with different tool types and workpieces of varying thickness.
- The axes are built on ballscrews, ensuring positioning accuracy and zero backlash during operation. Linear guides guarantee smooth, stable gantry movement even under prolonged use. Stepper motors provide reliable motion under working loads. If needed, the machine can be equipped with servo drives.
- The rigid welded frame and machine mass provide vibration resistance and geometric stability in series production.
- For quick door leaf setup, the machine is equipped with pneumatic stops that allow the operator to precisely position the workpiece before clamping. Fixation is performed by pneumatic clamps, which securely hold the door during machining and allow fast transition to the next cycle.
- The machine is equipped with a 4.5 kW water-cooled spindle. Working speeds allow clean material removal when machining solid wood, MDF, and composite door structures.
