The Vector 2513FV.DOOR is a specialized CNC router for comprehensive machining of door leaves or solid wood panels. The equipment design allows machining of both the workpiece surface and its edge in a single technological cycle, significantly reducing the number of manual operations in door production.
In door manufacturing facilities, a significant portion of time is spent not on the machining itself, but on moving and flipping heavy leaves between operations. The Vector 2513FV.DOOR solves this at the mechanical level. The system of rollers, vacuum clamping, and a loading drum allows a single operator to work with large door leaves without additional workers.
As a result, the number of manual operations in the production cycle decreases, processing time is reduced, and the load on personnel is lowered. This workflow allows one operator to complete the full machining cycle of a door leaf — without additional workers or manual flipping.
Key Design Features:
- The machine is equipped with two 2.2 kW air-cooled spindles. The vertical spindle is used for machining the door leaf surface, while the horizontal spindle handles the workpiece edge. This configuration allows multiple operations without equipment reconfiguration.
- Workpiece clamping is performed by a vacuum table. This system provides uniform clamping of the leaf across its entire surface without mechanical clamps and allows working with large, heavy workpieces.
- Door leaf loading is performed through a loading drum. After feeding onto the work table, lift rollers with pneumatic drive move the leaf into working position, after which the vacuum clamping system is activated.
- After the first side is machined, the vacuum is released, the rollers lift the workpiece, and return it to the drum. Inside the drum, the door leaf is flipped 180° and fed back onto the work table for machining the second side. The operator does not need to remove and flip heavy doors manually.
- The work area accommodates standard door leaves and large panel blanks. The frame is built as a rigid metal structure, ensuring geometric stability during long-term operation in production conditions.
- Axis movement is based on ballscrews, which provide positioning accuracy and minimize backlash in the kinematic system. Linear guides ensure smooth, stable gantry movement even under high working loads.
- The VECTOR Drive control system is a hardware and software platform for VECTOR machines, built on an industrial CNC controller. The system includes limit sensors, thermal sensors, an emergency stop button, and a fire safety system. Depending on the equipment model and configuration, controllers from various manufacturers may be used, integrated, localized, and optimized by engineers.
Applications:
- Production of interior doors
- Machining of solid wood or MDF door leaves
- Furniture enterprises and woodworking facilities
