The Vector 0402TM is an industrial CNC lathe designed for high-precision machining of parts from ferrous and non-ferrous metals, alloys, and engineering plastics. The machining zone accommodates parts up to 400 mm in diameter over the bed and up to 400 mm in length.
The equipment is optimized for series production under intensive industrial loads. The machine structure, rigid base, servo system, and professional CNC core form a single system that guarantees stable repeatability of part dimensions in large batches.
Key Design Features:
- The machine base is manufactured according to the full technological cycle of precision machine tool building. After welding, the all-steel frame is aged using a special technology to stabilize the metal and relieve internal stresses. The frame cavities are filled with polymer concrete, after which the mounting surfaces for linear guides are machined in a single setup. This foundation completely neutralizes structural resonances during metal cutting and guarantees unchanged geometry over years of intensive operation.
- The workpiece is clamped in a three-jaw chuck and rotates across a wide speed range, allowing optimal cutting parameters for roughing and finishing of various materials.
- Oil mist is delivered directly to the cutting zone, reducing thermal load on the cutting edge. This extends tool life and improves the surface quality of the finished part.
- Servo motors provide dynamic, precise carriage movement — critical for threading and machining complex profiles.
- The automated machining cycle with minimal operator involvement ensures high repeatability and consistent accuracy in series production of a wide range of cylindrical and shaped parts, including nuts and fasteners, gears and toothed wheels, housing components, axial parts, bearing rings, fittings and connectors, valve components, cages, chucks, arbors, belt drive pulleys, and clamps.
- The semi-automatic tool change system and CNC enable the machining of complex profiles, such as multi-step shafts, bushings with grooves for sealing rings, and parts with precise face recesses.
- The VECTOR Drive control system is a hardware and software platform for VECTOR machines, built on an industrial CNC controller. The system includes limit sensors, thermal sensors, an emergency stop button, and a fire safety system. Depending on the equipment model and configuration, controllers from various manufacturers may be used, integrated, localized, and optimized by engineers.
Applications:
- Turning of parts: shafts, bushings, axles, fasteners
- Production of fittings, adapters, valves, pistons, and housing parts with tight tolerances
- Machining of flanges, pulleys, discs, and other parts for automotive and special transport systems
- Production of gears, bearing rings, fittings, arbors
The Vector 0402T is equipment designed by machine tool building experts for mechanical engineering, instrument-making enterprises, and component manufacturers that require stable production of cylindrical parts with specified accuracy.
