The Vector 3220F 5-axis is a five-axis CNC router for complex 2D and 3D machining of wood, plastics, and composites. The model provides continuous 5-axis machining: three linear axes (X, Y, Z) and two rotary axes (A/B). This allows operations on five sides of the workpiece without repositioning. The work area is designed for large-format parts and deep 3D routing.
The workpiece is clamped once, and the machine performs machining from all sides. This saves time on repositioning and improves accuracy, since all surfaces are referenced to a single coordinate system.
Key Advantages of the Vector 3220F 5-axis:
- The spindle tilts to any angle, enabling undercuts, chamfers, side surface machining, and complex curved forms. This makes it possible to produce parts with undercuts, complex profiles, and organic shapes that are impossible on a 3-axis machine.
- The combined drive system — helical rack on X and Y for smooth gantry travel and a ballscrew on Z for precise vertical positioning — delivers repeat positioning accuracy of ±0.05 mm across the entire work area. Linear guides with a diameter of 20 mm add rigidity, minimize vibration, and ensure stable spindle positioning when machining inclined surfaces.
- The built-in thermal protection sensor automatically shuts down the spindle at critical temperatures, preventing winding damage. The wide speed range achieves high surface quality across materials: from soft wood to dense MDF, plywood, and PVC. Water cooling stabilizes spindle temperature under sustained loads.
- The fully welded steel frame, machined in a single setup using Vector technology, maintains geometric stability under intensive loads and delivers long-term durability. Frame warranty — 120 months.
- The VECTOR Drive control system is a hardware and software platform for VECTOR machines, built on an industrial CNC controller. Depending on the equipment model and configuration, controllers from various manufacturers may be used, integrated, localized, and optimized by engineers.
